Sonnet
King Charles and Queen Camila visit America The crimson path before the White House spread, Where England's crown meets freedom's open door; The hosts in grace their honored guests have led, While watchful guards consult on plans once more. Though counsel shifts the day's appointed frame, And whispers cross the ocean's tempered air, Two leaders spar on war's contentious flame, Yet courtly smiles conceal the weight they bear. The King, in measured step, with queen beside, Brings ancient pomp to modern halls of state; The President, with warmth he cannot hide, Finds kinship where the nations oft debate. If Royal charm can soothe the rifted tide, Then peace may walk where pride and power collide. 2026.04.27![]()
